The Sampling / Lab Process

Undertaking a programme of odour sampling and analysis can be easily tailored to meet the specific requirements of each client.

Following the initial enquiry from the client, the sampling and analysis criteria are confirmed and the site team along with the analytical laboratory slot are scheduled in to the odourlab diary.

If the client wishes to collect the samples themselves, sampling equipment & materials compliant with the reference standard BS EN 13725 can be sent to the clients site in advance of the sampling day along with the relevant calibration and instruction certificates of the equipment.

Representative samples are then collected by trained technicians or the client and the sampling details such as location and sample time are recorded on an official chain of custody form.

Following sample collection, each sample is stored in a secure temperature-controlled environment and transported to the analytical laboratory within 24 hours.

Upon receipt at the laboratory, each sample is logged on to the laboratory information system and undergoes the specific analysis suite selected by the customer carried out in line with spectrums accredited testing procedures.
Once the test data sets are available, the results are verified and quality assured in line with our ISO 17025 quality system, prior to release to the customer.
