Service Technician – Full Time / Permanent

Job description
We are a leading accredited Air Quality & Environmental Consultancy based in the West Midlands. We manufacture a variety of equipment relating to air quality, specifically, dust suppression and odour control.
We’re currently looking for a full-time Service Technician to join our engineering & production team. The position offers a varied workload with both on and off-site duties. The role mainly consists of completing ‘return to base’ assessments on equipment and visiting customer sites to repair/service equipment.
The position requires a dynamic, flexible person who thrives in a fast-paced working environment. A driving licence is essential and a FLT fork truck license an advantage.
Experience in production or manufacturing environment is essential, electrical knowledge is an advantage.
The applicant must be computer literate, as our systems are run digitally and have a basic understanding of the use of tablets when on-site for reporting and communicating.
Key Responsibilities
- Travelling to service equipment at client sites
- Speaking with clients on the phone to offer breakdown assistance
- Assisting with equipment installs at client sites
- Completing ‘Return to base’ assessments of equipment
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility with working hours
- Knowledge of production or manufacturing
- Computer/tablet literacy
Some or all of the following are an advantage for this position:
- Electrical knowledge
- FLT (fork truck) license
