The Air Spectrum DC40 Dust Cannon is our most powerful stocked dust suppression system, engineered for large-scale construction, quarrying, mining, ports, bulk material handling and industrial applications. Designed to deliver exceptional coverage with minimal operator intervention, the DC40 provides reliable dust control across expansive sites where airborne dust presents operational, environmental and health challenges.
Our range of dust cannons creates a fine mist of water droplets which are then directed forwards by a high-flow fan. On the DC40, the water mist can be projected up to 40 metres, depending on placement and local wind conditions. As the mist travels through the air, it binds with airborne dust particles, bringing them safely to the ground before they can spread across the site or into neighbouring areas.
With its extended throw and wide-area coverage, the DC40 is designed to reduce the number of suppression units required on larger sites, providing an efficient and cost-effective dust management solution.
Where dust is generated across multiple operational areas, the DC40 delivers consistent suppression with minimal repositioning.
The cannon head can automatically oscillate through up to 350°, allowing a single unit to treat large working areas efficiently. Combined with an adjustable 0°–70° vertical elevation, operators can direct the mist precisely where it is required, from ground-level material handling to elevated stockpiles, crushers and processing equipment.

The DC40 is available in two configurations to suit different site requirements.
DC40 – Fixed Dust Cannon
The standard DC40 is a standalone dust cannon designed for fixed installations. Connected directly to a mains water supply and electrical supply, it provides continuous, reliable dust suppression for permanent operations such as quarries, recycling facilities, ports and processing plants.
DC40M – Mobile Dust Cannon
The DC40M combines the same powerful dust cannon with a heavy-duty trailer-mounted chassis, complete with an integrated 2,000-litre water bowser and diesel generator. This fully self-contained system can be deployed quickly to locations where mains water or power is unavailable, making it ideal for construction projects, temporary works, remote sites and infrastructure developments.
